okay.. so this has been pretty good timing. a friend of mine from high school and i are around the same size so we tend to trade clothes frequently.. which works out well since i'm in a bind with my cousin's wedding coming up next week. so i asked her if we could swap some dresses (keep in mind i told her it was for the wedding and wanted something fancier). so.. of course she brings me all her beach dresses that she hasn't used for quite awhile from the looks of it. and of course i bring her all of my nicest dresses.. and she takes them ALL! and keep in mind.. she is NOT very good at returning quality items, if you catch my drift!! oh man.. i better get them back! but i was so so desperate for a dress and so so broke. so now i'm still so so desperate and so so broke, but now also left with so so many less options thanks to my ol' pal. oh.. and the picture isn't of the aforementioned friend, but i'm wearing one of the dresses that is now gone. indefinitely. :'( auē nō ho'i ē! auē nō ho'i au!

One-Minute Writer

okay okay so i know i've been seriously slacking on this blogging thing.. but i found a new source of inspiration: The One-Minute Writer. feel like you need some nudges? this place has got it.. too bad i'm not feeling all that inspired to indulge them at the moment. why? i've been applying for a new job.. more important. one that's full time. with a guaranteed full work week (40 hours) and... stellar benefits. i'm sooooo DONE qualifying and unqualifying and then paying so much of my benefits out of pocket when my hours aren't even set in stone. aghhhhh!!

YAY!!, but it's ONLY the beginning..

ahhhhhh!!! i flippin did it!! hahaha.. not like it was hard.. since there are virtually no requirements to be accepted to UVU, but nonetheless.. i still had to submit my application and fee. and yayyyyyyyyyyyy i got my admissions acceptance last night!! hallelujah! now things can fully start happening. and i have something DECENT to blog about!!

i also put in my application for a company in the provo valley area with locations in orem, provo, and highland. hopefully i get it!! that'd be awesome.. the sooner the better. so i can get settled. i'm trying to do this not-last-minute. unlike everything else that's probably happened in my life that i had control over!

so now i have a dilemma.. what to major in. it's been awhile since i attended a 4-year university and not just futted around at a community college. hahaha. but luckily i accumulated a lot of credits while at UH... in exercise science. one problem.. i want to be a social worker. so now i'm seriously debating on whether to graduate with a degree in exercise science.. since most of my credits from UH transfer, i'd graduate faster.. or social work... which i LOVE, but would take me at least another year if not another year and a half more than a degree in exercise science since i'd only be attending school part time either way. aghhhhhh. i know i went to get my masters in social work or counseling. so now i'm perplexed. in order to qualify for the majority of masters programs, what your bachelor's is in doesn't matter, as long as you have one.. along with the required pre-reqs. aghhh more!! so most people would be like hey.. what? duh.. it's obvious. get the exercise science degree.. but i'm not sure if i can secure a decent job post bachelors while in a masters program. i really REALLY don't want to be a waitress like a lot of my friends who ended up realizing that makes more money than what they can actually do with the major. :( if i got a bachelors in social work, as long as i qualified and passed the licensing exam(s), i'd be able to practice as a social worker and make a decent living while getting my masters. but.. if i get the position i applied for in utah, along with the jobs i've held the past couple years here in hawai'i nei, i'd most def have enough work experience to convince somebody, hopefully, to hire me on in a behavioral health capacity. aghhhh. okay. aggh agghhh aggghhhh. sorry for my ramblings.

but on another note.. thanks ash for the wonderful blogging music courtesy of your christmas playlist on your blog. hahaha :)

i think i already know what i'm leaning towards, but maybe i should talk to an advisor for sure.. and then figure everything out.




and... on yet another note. i need to find a better transition.


and it came to pass.. that i FOUND a coat!! yay!!! that's been my biggest strife with planning for my winter trip.


it's from old navy. men's department. hahaha. hopefully no one will notice. except you two. so duuuude. it totally bites because i have ENORMOUS man shoulders and no matter what ladies coat i find, i end up looking like the incredible hulk because my arms and shoulders can't fit. crap! crap! crap i tell you!! so yeah. i'm stoked. there's so much more i want to blog about. but i can't focus right now. hahahaha. so i'll blog later. excited karess?? hahaha.


btw.. do you know how long it took me to figure out where to put "ACCEPTED!" on the UVU admissions letterhead? hahaha. i'm a KOOK! kook i say!

distraction.

sooooo my bad. hahahaha.

i meant to write a MEAAAANNNNNNN blog tonight, but alas.. wasn't so inspired. and i was feeling envious of all those crazy shoppers that got awesome bargains on this wonderful day (btw.. i have yet to shop on a black friday. i dunno.. my family just never did that sorta thang).



so i decided to go on target.com and look for sale stuff and things that i'd be able to use for my winter trip.. and sweet deal. orders over $50 had free shipping. soooo.... i decided to fill my shopping bag up with 50 bucks worth. and that's pretty hard to do when shopping in the clearance. hahaha. shirts are like 3 something. sweet deal. and then.. i proceeded to the checkout only to find out my shipping was almost $30!!! i was like what the heck?! yeah.. so i check the fine print for the sale. yeah. free shipping to the contiguous 48 states. that is absolute crap! crap crap crap! :( ughhhhhhhh!! so i didn't buy any of it. but i did find this dress that i was eyeing at forever 21 one day and then they sold out.. they put it on their website. yay! so tonight wasn't a complete loss. speaking of that dress.. i've decided to buy only standards dresses. before i'd buy cute strapless or sleeveless dresses, but i'm DONE. i'm so over wearing undershirts and cardigans and the dress. i'm not small. i have insulation. and it's flippin hot. aghhhhhhhhhhhhhh. dangit. well... there goes to the tangent again.

hahaha. i'm trying to remember what i promised karess i'd originally post on.


oh and karess.. i have no flipping idea where that part of your blog is. i logged out of facebook, came back, and of course your im window was no longer there. along with the title of that entry. so uhhhh HELP!!!


and hiiiiii ash. since i know you're my only other faithful reader. lol.


here's the dress i bought. which now seems also semi-dumb of me. hahaha. it's long sleeved. what in the flap was i thinking? oh well.. at least i'll be able to use it when i go up for wintertime!!



and here's another one i bought. for the rockin price of $11.50. still isn't a target deal, but a deal no less. and this next one comes in black, charcoal gray, teal, and this color i purchased. i really want the gray one now though. although i already have a solid charcoal gray dress. i really want that one. ughhhh. maybe in time it'll come.. lol.








yeah.. so i think i'm going to add pictures to my posts from now on. i'm a visual learner. and i think i'll want to read my own posts more if there are pictures. yeah. so i still don't remember what i was supposed to post on. and now i'm delirious. good night, moon.

41 days

hahaha. so i'm supposed to be sleeping.. but instead, i'm posting this just to satisfy karessie's hunger. :) yay i have more than one reader! even though you know i love you ashleigh! hahaha. it's great to have more than one. anyways.

what happens in 41 days?




i'm going to utah!! it'll be my first time there. EVER. haha. never had a reason to go there til two years ago :) and i'll get to play in the snow!! haven't got to play in the snow since i was in preschool, so i'm really excited about it! my mom even paid for my flippin trip!! merry christmas and happy birthday to me!

it'll also be my first time to temple square and the christmas lights should still be up so i'm way beyond stoked!



and unlike karess, i can't get enough of posting pictures.. no matter how irritating it is! hahaha. i'm a visual learner.

and then.. after a week in utah, i'm going to vegas to see my sister! i haven't seen her for a year and a half so i'm super excited beyond excited. our birthdays are 6 days apart, mine on the 3rd and hers on the 9th, so we're going to one of the cirque shows, going to visit my friend toni and her fam in st george, and just spend as much quality time as possible with her and the rest of the fam!





oh.. and while i'm there i'm going to look for jobs and check out the UVU campus for the big move this summer. aghhhhhhhhhhh i can't wait. i never get to leave hawai'i. hahaha. oh.. and why i'm extra extra excited? hahaha.. this'll be my first trip, besides a small trip to maui, where i don't have my parents are other chaperones with me. so i'm 23 and finally growing up. big deal for me! :)

hi, my name is johnelle and i'm addicted to the internet. aghhhhhhh i said it. but the first step on my road to recovery is admitting i have a problem.

it's 4:25 am and counting and only now i'm going to sleep. why? well.. late dinner with my cousin and company who are visiting and i drank part of an energy drink. i came online just to do the basics.. check my facebook/myspace/bebo/gmail, and then i came on blogspot. aghhhh. yet another thing to give me my fix. i've been camping on other people's blogs. and now getting ideas for my sad excuse of a blog. i want to commit to it. but that would involve major effort. including writing entries and not to mention photos.. and then the overall layout. and then that goes back to my addiction. i love the internet too much. but it's so one sided. i thought i'd never love this way again. in fact.. i told myself i wouldn't. snigger snigger. i'm delirious. so am i addicted to the internet and all of its wonderful offerings? or am i simply committed to it. like a relationship? what are the differences between an addiction and commitment anyway?

btw. it is now 4:29 am and i have to wake up by 6:30 to be at work by 7:30. absolute latest. i'm a dummmmmmmmmmmmmmy. good night for me. good morning for everybody else.

also. i think when i googled my grandma's name, i think that picture came from an article where she was actually interviewed. pretty nuts if you ask me.
